Built in 1898, the Comstock Building has been part of downtown Toronto for more than a century, with a history of restaurants, breweries, and neighbourhood gathering spaces.
Today, the McGrath family has brought it back to life as House of McGrath, a destination for refined dining, in-house brewed beer, live local music, and the spirit of old Toronto.

Our Event Spaces
East Wing
An intimate lounge-style space suited to smaller gatherings, private meals, client hosting, family occasions, and semi-private celebrations. Its quieter atmosphere makes it ideal for events where conversation is central.

Filled with natural light, greenery, and floor-to-ceiling windows, the South Wing offers a fresh setting for daytime or evening events. Its flexible mix of banquette and table seating works well for brunches, birthdays, networking events, panel discussions, and private dining.

Lower Lounge
A dedicated event space with the relaxed energy of a lounge. With bar access, mixed seating and standing room, and a pool table, it is well suited to cocktail receptions, birthday celebrations, company socials, and live music.

Main Dining Room & Bar*
A bright, charming main floor space with an open layout, natural light, and a lively connection between the dining room and bar. Ideal for larger private gatherings, seated dinners, cocktail-style events, and celebrations with both sophistication and energy.
