The House of McGrath is a celebration of Toronto heritage, independent spirit, and timeless hospitality.
The house draws inspiration from Toronto’s financial district in the 1920s: an era of long lunches, late evenings, hidden cellar bars, and bustling social clubs where strangers became acquaintances and acquaintances became lifelong friends.
But the House of McGrath is not interested in recreating the past. It exists to continue the best parts of it.
Built around the idea of keeping Toronto’s history alive, the house revives historical brewing methods, classic hospitality, and generational European cuisine through a contemporary lens.
The House of McGrath exists to protect a form of city life that has become increasingly uncommon: places where people linger, return often, and feel connected to the life of the room around them. Our guests arrive for dinner and remain for conversation, drinks, music, and the sense that the evening still has somewhere to go.
